Cresthill Zeke's Maggie JH
Cresthill Zeke's Maggie JH

Maggie, our
black female, was last bred to Paradise
Kennels’
Int'l
CH MERGANSER'S YELLOW JERSEY, JH, WC, SH(“Floyd”)
in 2010. She will be bred in early May, and a litter is
expected on or around July 4. We currently have three
male and three female reservations, as well as a seventh
"wait list" reservation: therefore we are taking no more
reservations at this time. Please get in touch with us if
you are interested in being notified if the litter is
larger than seven puppies.
Maggie hails from Cresthill
Kennels in Caroline Co., VA. Born in 2006, she is an
incredibly friendly dog, who despite seemingly limitless
energy and retrieving desire when “working” playing displays
the serenity and calmness of a much older dog when inside.
She is very loyal and has never needed a leash when
walking. You will see an adult photo of her on our welcome
page.
Maggie's sire, Zeke
of Silver Creek MH QAA, was named to the 2003 Derby
list (12pts). He is Qualified All Age with a win, two
seconds, two thirds, and two fourth place finishes in very
limited trialing. Zeke has a truly magnificent pedigree and
is the only known MH, QAA yellow male to have both parents
and ALL four grandparents titled Field Champions and/or
Amateur Field Champions. Maggie's dam, Beaver
Creek's Widgeon, is a streamlined, 65 lb black female.
Her sire, FC AFC Dare To Dream, [out of FC AFC Wilderness
Harley To Go] is one of the top field trial dogs in the
Western U.S. Widgeon is a wonderful family dog and a beauty
to see in person.
Maggie obtained her JH (Junior
Hunter) AKC award by qualifying in the minimum number of
trials. Maggie, like all our dogs, is a family pet, and so
we will not go further in her competition, though she is
fully capable of doing so. Her trainer, Amy Dahl of Oak
Hill Kennels in Vass, North Carolina, had this to say
about Maggie:
"I'm really
pleased with Maggie. She is kind of tough and stubborn,
but totally without resentment and perfectly happy to do
things my way after I insist.... Whether it was the
marking drills, or the shotguns and ducks, however, Maggie
is plenty accurate, very stylish, and gives me neat
deliveries, sitting at heel, with no goofing off with the
birds."
We add that Maggie is the
friendliest Lab we have ever owned.
This will
be Maggie’s third and last litter. Photos above and the
video below are of pups from her first two litters. See
our Testimonials
page for reviews! See the Adoption
page if you are interested in
reserving a pup from this litter.
Maggie’s litter with Floyd will
produce males likely maturing around 90 lbs and females
around 62 lbs. Floyd has dual show and field trial titles,
and with Maggie’s friendliness and field champion pedigree
this should produce an ideal combination of retrieving
ability, classic Labrador beauty, and Lab enthusiasm. The
price for these puppies is $1250. This price includes our
health guarantee, deworming and shots until 7 weeks, and
microchipping.
