Mousse’s Pedigree

SR WR Lake Country Cash or Credit (Mousse), our 9 year old chocolate, had 4 litters by Cedar Hill’s Dust Storm MH (Muley). See photos below!  Most recently, she was bred by surgical artifical insemination to HRCH MHR Whiskey River Wyatt. Pups were distributed to their adopting families on September 23, 2009 -- this is Mousse’s last breeding.  Here is a pic at age 3 weeks, 5 days on one of their first long sojourns outside -- here’s another.  And here’s mom and a pup.  Finally, above is a pic of an 8-week old, just delivered pup.

TO PAST AND CURRENT MOUSSE ADOPTERS:  WE HAD BEEN PLANNING A MOUSSE FAMILY REUNION IN 2009, BUT MOUSSE NEEDS SURGERY.  WE’VE PUT THE REUNION OFF TILL 2010.   STAY TUNED!

Mousse is from Wisconsin.  Her sire is Candlewood's Cash on the Line (QAA, 10 Derby Points, Qualifying 1,2,3,4, Open 4 JAM, Amateur 2, 3 JAMS). Cash is possibly the most beautiful chocolate field champion Lab in America -- see his picture using the link below, or on the cover of the November 2002 Special Anniversary Issue of the Retriever Journal!).  Mousse's  mom is a daughter of 1996 FC-NFC Storm's Riptide Star. There is, we believe, no better chocolate pedigree than Mousse's, for looks and behavior, in the entire country.   Mousse has a dark rich coat and very blocky head, weighs in at 67 lbs, and  obtained  both Started (SR) and Working (WR) Retriever NAHRA titles in the minimum number of trials -- because she (like all our dogs) is our house dog, we competed her no further. She was trained in Fredericksburg, Virginia by Trish Jagoda of Silver-Brook Kennels.  Mousse is a wonderfully talented, enthusiastic retriever. She is extremely mild-mannered around the house and a tireless worker when it comes time to retrieve. Mousse loves being a mom, and is incredibly gentle and caring with her puppies.  Her litters have varied from 5 to 10 pups, and testimonials from her owners are phenomenal:  see here.  We kept Haygan from Mousse’s 2007 litter, and he will be available for stud service as of late 2009.  So we will keep Mousse’s bloodline alive!
